Easy Setup

Once you place your order, you’ll receive an email with clear instructions for submitting your lineage details. Then choose the method below that works best for you:

Option 1: Download Your Online Tree: If your family tree is already built on a platform like Ancestry.com or MyHeritage, you can simply download your information as a GEDCOM file.

Option 2: Fill In Our Online Spreadsheet: If you know the names, birth dates, and locations of your maternal ancestors, you can use our spreadsheet template to enter the details we need.

Option 3: Add Genealogy Support: Not sure where to begin? One of our experienced genealogists can help expand your tree and validate lineage details by researching public records for you. Just select this add-on when placing your order.

Common questions

What lineage information do you need?

To create your ancestral cards, we need to gather a few details.

Preferred:

  • Full Name
  • Birth Date
  • Birth Location

Optional:

  • Birth Time (if known)
  • Death Date
  • Death Location

The more accurate the information, the more complete and meaningful their card will be. If we can't uncover their details, we can still make a card for them as a placeholder within your line.

With our Genealogy Research Support add-on, our team of genealogists can help pull this information from public records for you to review.

What online ancestors sites do you accept downloads from?

Most major ancestry websites allow you to download your family tree as a GEDCOM file, a universal format for genealogical data. We use GEDCOM files to pull in your information, so you don’t have to spend time entering it all by hand.

We currently offer step-by-step instructions for downloading GEDCOM files from Ancestry.com and MyHeritage.com. If you use a different site and need help finding your download options, feel free to reach out. We’re happy to guide you if we can.

Prefer to work in a spreadsheet instead? That’s welcome too. We provide a simple template to get you started.

What if I only know of a few women in my line?

That’s a perfectly fine place to start. In fact, it can be a meaningful moment to begin deepening your connection to your lineage.

With our genealogy support add-on, we’ll pair you with one of our experienced researchers who can help you uncover and validate information about the women in your matrilineal line. Whether you're working from just a name or two, or beginning entirely from scratch, we’ll guide you through the process of discovering the stories waiting to be found.

You might be surprised by how much can be uncovered. Even starting with just a name or two can open the door to a much deeper ancestral connection. We’re here to walk that path with you.

What if I don't have all the details for each person?

It’s completely normal to have gaps in your family line, especially the further back you go. We’ll still create a card for each woman in your mother line, even if some details are missing—her presence still matters deeply.

If we don’t have a birth date or location, we won’t be able to include astrological or Human Design insights, but we’ll still include any information you do have and honor her with a place in your deck.

We also offer genealogy support when creating your deck. With this add-on, you’ll be paired with one of our experienced genealogists to support your research process. Whether you’re starting with just a few names or have a well-developed tree, we’ll help you validate lineage details and fill in missing pieces of your matrilineal line. It’s a wonderful option if you’re unsure where to begin—or want to ensure the most complete and accurate ancestral information for your custom deck.

And if you discover more over time? We offer one-off card reprints, so you can update her story whenever new details come to light.

What are the turn-around times? How long does it take to receive my cards?

Turnaround time depends partly on how quickly you’re able to provide your lineage information, review it, and then approve the final details.

In most cases, you can expect to receive your cards within 1 month of ordering (1.5 months if you've added on genealogy support)—barring any shipping delays, customs holdups, or higher-than-usual order volume.

  • The Genealogy Support add-on does not include unlimited research, nor any research beyond that which is publicly available and should not be considered a substitute for full-service genealogical consulting.

The astrological planets chosen for the cards (Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto) almost never change zodiac signs within the 24 hours of a given birthday. On the extremely rare occasion (less than 0.05% of days) that one of these planets changes signs on a birthday, an exact birth time would be required to confirm the correct sign.

We acknowledge that a precise birth time is required to calculate an accurate Human Design type. We also recognize that finding this information for past generations is often not possible. To address this, we check the Human Design type for several times throughout the day (e.g., 12:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 11:59 p.m.). If the type remains the same all day, we display the Human Design information. If the type changes during the day, we do not display it. The vast majority of days have no type change at all, meaning everyone born on that day in a given location will have the same Human Design type, regardless of their birth time.
